John Warren Hall was born in 1792 near Jefferson, Pennsylvania. On 1 June 1816 in Pennsylvania he married Delilah Poland. Delilah Poland Hall was born in 1797 in Maryland. They were the parents of 5 children.
1) David Lewis Hall born 1 September 1817, married Eluzia Catherine Rawlins. 2) Peter Hall born 23 October 1819, married Susannah Heaton. 3) Lydia N. Hall born 1832, married John R. Lenard. 4) Delilah Hall born 22 February 1834, married (1) Thomas A. Burks and married (2) H.F.C. Johnson. 5) Nancy E. Hall born 1837.
John and Delilah came to Texas in 1845 with her family. John received Robertson County Headright #1357 for 640 acres on Pleasant Run Road, later a part of Dallas County. Delilah’s family settled in Lancaster, Texas in 1846 and signed among the first members of the First Christian Church, Lancaster. He died 30 August 1872 near Bolivar, Denton County, Texas. She died after 1878, her last known residence was in Montague County, Texas.
