Wesley Cockrell Cemetery Visit
The purpose is to check on possible encroachment by adjoining lot owners (possible driveway and fence construction), and to clean the cemetery to the degree allowed by the number of people who arrive between 11:00 and 11:30. As mentioned before, an additional benefit is to for members to see the cemetery, and visit with other history lovers. At our visit one year ago, tombstones were visible, and there was a granite marker placed by Dallas County Pioneer Association. A partial survey of tombstones is available at

Located at end of S. Dwight Ave. off W. Jefferson Blvd. Not shown on Mapsco as a cemetery. Deed not found, but is shown on the tax roll as a cemetery.
