Annual Pioneer Picnic

Our annual Pioneer Picnic at Glover Cemetery has been ongoing for many years and is reminiscent of the early pioneer day celebrations where families and friends would congregate, share memories and have fellowship.

Come and have your picture taken under the biggest documented Post Oak in Dallas County. We begin to arrive in the cool of the morning and eat shortly after noon.  Pack a meal for your own family or bring a dish to share.  Plates and plastic ware are provided by hosts.  We know a lot of Dallas County history and are making more of it every day! Everyone is welcome.
