Join us for the June meeting of the Dallas County Pioneer Association.
Our speaker will be the renowned Dr. Richard B. McCaslin of the Texas State Historical Society. His new book is called: “Texas In Blue” and it tells the true story of a Union soldier and his adventures in Texas escaping from Confederates, Indians, and Mexicans. And it has a happy ending as the former soldier settles in Texas and prospers. On December 17, 2025, Governor Greg Abbott appointed McCaslin as the fifth Texas State Historian.You can read more about Dr. McCaslin here
