Topic: Carrollton Historical Downtown – Past, Present and Future

Downtown Carrollton traces its roots to the 1840s Peters Colony settlement, officially adopting the name “Carrollton” in 1878 with its first post office. By the early 1900s, merchants shaped the Historic Downtown Square, which became the community’s social and commercial center after incorporation in 1913, highlighted by the 1921 gazebo that hosted civic gatherings. Today, Downtown Carrollton is undergoing thoughtful revitalization guided by the 2025 Master Plan. Ravi will speak about that plan and about possible future plans that reinforce Downtown’s role as a vibrant historic and economic hub.
