Grand Opening: Cedar Hill Museum (NEW DATE)
Phyllis Stewart of the Cedar Hill Museum of History has invited DCPA members to join them at the Grand Opening of their newly relocated museum on April 6th. They’re moving into space inside the brand-new Cedar Hill Main Public Library that also opens that day. Among their artifacts are rarely-seen photos of John Neely Bryan’s nephews at Cedar Hill’s well-known “Connie Bryan Grove”. Besides the ribbon cutting, there will be Live Music, Food Trucks, children’s activities and a scavenger hunt.
The location is a short walk from Crawford’s Tornado Cemetery (700 N. Cedar Hill Rd), where victims of the 1856 Cedar Hill tornado are buried.
Lunch is available afterwards at Babe’s Chicken in Old Town, Cedar Hill.
