Today at the McAdams Cemetery we had 10 participants 6 of which are DCPA members. The weather was beautiful and we all had a wonderful time.
Mike Rowlands worked on two tombstones with about half the group watching and helping him. Mike and Marsha Leach took care of cutting up and disposing of a medium sized tree that had fallen on the fence. Betsy Farris filled up several 5 gallon buckets of trash and cleaned vegetation from around tombstones. Robert Rigdon was the first to arrive and he cut little trees and removed every vine off the front fence. Brad Sullivan and Kathy Ann Reid cut many little trees throughout the cemetery.
We work in this cemetery once a year and it is in better condition each year as far as being cleared of fallen trees and saplings. On the other hand the fence is mostly being held up by poison ivy vines and is almost not functioning as a fence. As the fence continues to deteriorate the cemetery boundary will disappear.
The image with the shed and blue tarp appears to be used as a residence.
