Jesse J. Sanders and Sally Ann Quick Sanders, William H. Sanders and Elizabeth Quick Sanders

William H. Sanders, born 15 May 1831, and his wife, Elizabeth Quick, born 27 August 1833, came to Dallas County in 1864 from Osage County, Missouri, where they had been married 19 February 1852. They settled near Rose Hill. Their children were: Mary E. born 1853; Rachel Ann born 4 November 1855, married Orville H. Wilson; William Q. born 1858; Abner born 1860; George M. C. born 1861, married Mary Etta Durrett; Frances Jane born 1863; John A. born 1865; Nancy Martha born 1867; Sarah L. born 1869; Frederick born 1874; and Cora Missouri Ellen born 1877, married Charles Durrett. William Sanders died 16 March 1881, and Elizabeth Quick Sanders 9 December 1899. They are buried in Lyons Cemetery, near their home.

William’s brother, Jesse J. Sanders, born 1833, married Elizabeth’s sister Sarah (Sally) Ann Quick on 8 June 1855, in Osage County, and they also moved to Dallas County about 1879, having lived a few years in Arkansas after leaving Missouri. Their children were George, Rachel, Mary, Jane, William H., John, Calvin and Annis.

Elizabeth and Sally Ann Quick were daughters of William David Aaron Quick, who was born in 1803 in Kentucky, and Rachel Counts, born in 1810 in Kentucky, both from early Missouri families. The other children of William and Rachel Quick were William David Aaron, Jr., married (1) Frances Phillips, 15 March 1854, (2) Jane Ann Reidenbach, 7 June 1863; Thomas Hart Benton married Judy Emeline Phillips 11 June 1860; and Lucinda Ann married John Murray Quick 8 August 1858. All were married in Osage County, Missouri.

Thomas Hart Benton Quick, called Benton, born 15 May 1840, came to Dallas County with his family about 1879. His children were Eliza, Moses, Albert, Annie and Della. He died 20 May 1914 in Seagoville.

William David Aaron Quick, Jr., known as Aaron, born 4 October 1834, had one child from his first marriage, Joseph Frank, born 1856, who lived in Franklin County, Arkansas, where he married Sarah Dickerson. Aaron and Jane Ann had lived in Arkansas several years after they left Missouri before they, too, moved to Dallas County, Texas in 1897. He died 4 March 1910. Their children were Sarah Rachel born 1866, married William Riley Phillips; Annie Cornelia born 1870; Hettie M. born 1873, married Oliver P. Beaupree; Francis Pearl born 1874; Amanda Leuvenia born 1876, married James Patterson Sisle; William David Aaron born 1878; Pearlie Leona born 1885, married John McCristy; Maidee Emmaline; Benjamin Franklin; Lucy Elon; and possibly others.
