Pioneer H. F. C. Johnson born 15 January 1823, Kentucky, died 14 August 1865, Lancaster, Dallas County, Texas, buried Edgewood Cemetery; married (1) Sydney Hester Brown, married (2) Delilah Hall Burks, 8 August 1858.

Children of H. F. C. Johnson and Sydney Hester Brown Johnson: Callistia Octavia born 20 February 1843, married John Rollen Hawpe. James William born 1845, married Maria E. Sears. John Roland born 29 January 1848 married (1) Sarah C. Ritchey and married (2) Alice Roby. Nancy Jane born 1850, married John Franklin Witt. Henry Frank Chaplin born 1852, married Willie Wilson. Margaret Elizabeth born 12 April 1855, married Benjamin Frank Peek.

Children of H. F. C. Johnson and Delilah Hall Burks Johnson: Analaura Nevada born 11 September 1859, Lancaster, Texas, died 16 August 1926, Garrett, Ellis County, Texas; married Charles T. Groves 28 October 1875. Mary Lizzie born 2 December 1861, died 1865. Frank Ernest born 2 October 1864, Lancaster, Texas, died 10 October 1910, buried Seagoville, Texas; married Eva May Jones 30 June 1890.

H. F. C. came to Dallas County before 1858. He was 1st Lt., Co. F., 6th Texas Cavalry during the War Between the States. He is mentioned in History of Dallas County by Brown and Cochran, History of Lancaster, and A History of Texas and Texans by Frank W. Johnson.

Pioneer Delilah Hall Burks Johnson born 22 February 1834, Greene County, Pennsylvania, died 12 March 1918, Ellis County, Texas, buried Ennis, Texas; married (1) Thomas A. Burks, Lancaster, Texas 10 July 1853, married (2) H. F. C. Johnson, Lancaster, Texas, 8 August 1858.

Child of Delilah Hall Burks and Thomas A. Burks: Sarah Tommie Ellen Burks born September 1854, Lancaster, died 1947, Ennis, Texas; married 29 October 1872 to Clement Edwin Rawlins.

Delilah came to Dallas County in 1845 with her parents, John and Delilah Hall. She was among the first members of the First Christian Church in Lancaster. She lived in Dallas County until 1882, when she moved to Garrett in Ellis County. She lived there until her death.
