About Us

The Dallas County Pioneer Association is dedicated to preserving the history of Dallas County and those pioneers who settled the County before the year of 1880.  Anyone interested in membership may apply, regardless of when their ancestors came.  

OBJECTIVES:
1. To perpetuate the memory and spirit of the persons who resided in the area that became Dallas County, Texas, before January 1, 1880.
2.  To encourage historical research concerning Dallas County, its cities, towns, other communities, and early citizens, so that a comprehensive record may be preserved for future generations. 
3.  To foster the preservation of historical sites, streets, place names, documents, and relics. 
4.  To leverage the DCPA’s influence so that all places of historical significance in Dallas County are appropriately marked to keep alive the memory of the people, places and events important to the history of Dallas County.

MEETINGS:
Our Association typically meets quarterly on the first Thursday of March, June, September and December for dinner and a program. These dates may change from time to time, so please check our calendar for specific details.

Dinner starts at 6:00p and our program follows promptly at 7:00p. Reservations are required for dinner. 
Visitors are always welcome!

DUES:
Membership dues are $20 a year, or $200 for a Life Membership.
